Secure browsing for enterprises
How can employees browse the Internet without breaking the security from outside .
This question stood at the beginning of a two-year development of Jetro Platforms Ltd – an Israeli enterprise. The answer is COCKPIT2i, a special server based Web browser for Enterprises which makes the access to the Internet more secure. Without circumscribe the user comfort, this patented program reduces security risks from the Internet because all Interfaces - except the secure ones - are closed at the firewall: The User receives his content in a Video like format.
IT Experts are searching since years for concepts for an absolute secure access to the Internet. In this Relationship the Idea of a Buffer Zone – also called Demilitarized Zone or DMZ – between the Corporate Network and the World Wide Web is the best way to reach this goal. Administrators configure a isolated Server in the DMZ – but disconnect all Data Traffic to the LAN.
In this way the Buffer Zone is the best Place for all services which direct communicate to the Internet, because all Attacks first have to go through the Firewall, the DMZ and then to the LAN. With the new server based Web Browser, Jetro increases the security arrangements once again, because Data from the Internet to the User is just delivered via SRDP (Secure Remote Desktop Protocol) .
COCKPIT2i requires no Installation at Users Computer nor any Training. Users work with their familiar Web Browser including all Plugins, Favorites and other Settings. All Users have access to Video, Audio or Image content. Also secure printing is no problem. So the Internet is accessible without any reduction of Quality – without security holes.
